Molya is an Open Education Influencer (http://openedinfluencers.mandela.ac.za) and writing respondent at the Nelson Mandela University, South Africa. She assisted in editing the Becoming an Open Education Influencer (BOEI) course and was among the first people to complete the course. She is in the process of completing her Master’s degree in public law (research). Molya’s Master’s research focuses on the experiences of asylum-seekers and refugees to investigate whether female asylum-seekers experience unfair discrimination in South Africa. One of her findings was that most asylum-seekers (and refugees) could not access education because they could not afford it. She is excited to contribute to creating open educational resources and helping others access affordable and quality education.
