I am the Professional Development Educator at the University of Pikeville in Pikeville, KY. My current research at the institution focuses on Open Pedagogy and OER-enabled Pedagogy as means to promote equity in learning, particularly when looked through the lens of Critical Pedagogy. I have a PhD in Sustainability Education. I am also interested in the neoliberal and colonial roots of higher education, its influences on faculty and how Critical and Decolonizing pedagogies may disrupt tendencies to perpetuate neoliberal and colonial discourse in teaching.
