I am an experienced Instructional Designer with a demonstrated history of working in the higher education industry. I was also member of a team that won the 2020 Blackboard Catalyst Award for Optimizing the Student Experience. Our nomination was based on a Distance Learning initiative with the goal to improve the student experience at the college through the leveraging of Open Educational Resources (OER). I also received a Blackboard Exemplary Course Program Award in 2017. I am a strong educational professional with a Master’s Degree focused in Educational/Instructional Technology from Michigan State University and a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Prior to my work in higher education, I spent ten years teaching High School and Middle School, which built expertise in Leadership, pedagogical design, strategic collaborations, and program design, implementation, and assessment. I am primarily focused on educational matters surrounding open educational resources, media design, academic integrity, and design thinking/UDL.
