Bio:
Jesse BrayI've lived all across the United States; Oregon, California, Washington, Minnesota, (currently)Tennessee and even Maine. I was homeless most of my childhood, which meant I moved a lot and had a very fragmented upbringing. I believe this experience imbued me with a deeper sense of empathy and resiliency had I been raised in other circumstances. However, I was quite fortunate to be able to spend most of my free time in libraries and churches, building strong relationships and learning the value of community.
I'm a writer/design/animator/ & media research and design systems consultant by trade.
Additionally, I’m also an adjunct professor with a Master’s of Education with a specialization in Instructional Leadership, and a Bachelors of Fine Arts in media arts + animation.
I am currently pursuing my Phd in Psychology. As of this Summer of 2021 I completed a certification from Stanford “Identifying Early Signs of Psychosis in Adolescents and Young Adults”.
I have an intense love and fascination with the study and practice of art therapy, social and emotional intelligence, and mindfulness education - they are also the primary subjects of my academic and vocational research.
Furthermore, I was recently awarded the Greer grant for higher educational curriculum re-design as well as a generous grant from OEA’s Educator Empowerment Academy.
I started my freelance design lab/consulting company “
Mr.Bray” (named after myself
title) in 2011.
I’m an expert in everything from print, digital, web, animation, interactive content, film, curriculum design, to media & design systems consulting. My clients have ranged from large brands (e.g., Nike, Intel, Insightsoftware, Hallmark, Virgin Media, Mars, Amazon, Segment) and everything in between (Animatron, Tito’s Vodka, Pears USA).
Thank you for taking the time to read a bit more about me. I’d love to learn more about you and your project.
