The presenter will share efforts to scale OER work at UTSA Libraries in order to create a more sustainable model for future expanded OER work. The presentation will provide an overview of past UTSA Libraries models for supporting OER work and will also share recent strategies for integrating subject specialists more deeply in OER-related support in order to scale OER work. The presentation will detail strategies for involving subject librarians, including: coordinating with the Head of Research and Education Services to harness subject specialists’ discipline -specific knowledge in support of OER programs; facilitating and involving subject specialists librarians in OER-related trainings; creating a framework to support those unfamiliar with or new to finding OER; creating resources to help subject specialists when helping faculty that are remixing or authoring OER; and sharing tools that support subject specialist librarians’ success in all OER-related faculty inquiries: from finding OER to assisting with Pressbooks.
