With the trends in higher education to reduce and eliminate textbook costs to students, finding and implementing quality instructional material is important for effective student learning. This presentation will show the lessons learned from a year-worth of experience building an introductory college physics from scratch using the OpenStax resource. Tips for its implementation in the classroom are presented, with focus on the Moodle Learning Management System.
